Review: The Traitor Prince

The Traitor Prince
Author: C J Redwine
Publisher: Harperteen
Published On:2/13/18
Rating: 4.5/5
Synopsis: (Found on Goodreads)

Javan`s story was a great addition to the Ravenspire series. I think I
might have liked a bit more of Sajda`s story or perspective. As well as Rahim.
I know Javan is the centre of the story but having more about the girl who risks
a lot to prove his case would have been nice.

Redwine does it again with her incredible fighting scenes beautifully
executed through the entire novel. Strong characters and a plot that keeps
thickening. Not all the characters are safe (which having read all of CJ`s books
I've come to learn this)

There is one scene in particular that had an impactful moment of pure
innocence and the corruption of that innocence. The scene is on where Sadja
takes Javan to a secret place- her own sanctuary- to see the stars and to be taught.
Here she reveals so much about her youth and how the Warden took all of that away
from her. This scene is one that I will recall for books to come. It was the quiet
before the real storm.

Overall the story of Javen regaining his title of Prince during his fight in
Maqbara adds to the entire Ravenspire series. I see Sajda maybe making a
reappearance in the next books a visit to Loch Talam or even Morcant perhaps.
