Rating: 3/ 5

When I picked up this book I still had mixed feelings, Of Fire and Stars has been
one of my favorite reads due to the fact I can relate to the equine references.
I was very surprised when I delved into the but in the end I liked it but not as
much as of Of Fire and Stars. Ina is desperate to find her manifest, an animal to
change into as passage to adulthood. Bandits threaten Ina’s village, Asra uses her
blood magic and their lives take a drastic turn. Ina turns very dark and Asra meets
another demigod, a son of the wind. Hal and Asra align themselves with the King.

Ina and Hal’s sister Nismae, seek revenge on the King. This story was intriguing
with the characters and the story, I recommend it if you haven't read Of Fire and
Stars, as that was what I was expecting, something similar but it tis not. Of course
you can read it after Of Fire and Stars but be prepared as it is completely different.
