Rating: 4.5/5 Stars
Henrietta Howel is a teacher, but she can burst into flames. She starts training as a Sorcerer,
but starts to doubt that she really is one, a battle is looming; how much is she willing to risk?
As this book was one of the first ARC’s I got to read before the final copy was out,
I tore through it. I like the strong female lead Henrietta has, because somehow in a house
of men, she is able to stay ladylike, even if she would rather wear trousers than skirts
into battle. As the book progressed, Henrietta starts to build relationships with the
others in the house, her and Magnus become friends as he is the first to make her
feel welcome, her and Rook, childhood friends who would do anything for eachother.
Howel and Blackwood on the other hand, their relationship doesn’t grow for awhile.
I loved following Henrietta’s adventures into a world that is all new to her.
I can’t wait for more.
